THE CHURCH

MINISTRIES

G.R.A.C.E.D
PURPOSE
The purpose of G.R.A.C.E.D. is to bridge the gap from youth church to adult church. G.R.A.C.E.D will be based and centered on the word of God. This
will be an opportunity to influence right believing about who we are in Christ and His love for us, which bring about right living and direction for our lives. We will see the power of God change lives and set hearts ablaze for the service and will of our heavenly father. Our purpose will not be to condemn, but show the absolute love and grace of God to every individual. (Titus 2:11-14)

MISSION
The mission of G.R.A.C.E.D. Ministry is bridging the gap with young adults ages 18-30 by using the Word of God, foundation from youth church and fusing with the teachings in the main sanctuary
. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit we will be sensitive to the needs of young adults between the ages of 18-30. G.R.A.C.E.D will be a ministry that will hear out the concerns of young adults and their place within the church. (Proverbs 11:14)

The age group from 18-30 is Benaja’s next generation of church leaders and G.R.A.C.E.D ministry will help encourage and motivate these young adults to get involved in other activities and ministries with in Benaja. (I Peter 2:9) Within this ministry we will share God’s Holy Word, grace, and love with one another and outside the walls of Benaja and into the community. (Matt 28:19)

During the ages of 18-30, this is a season of physical, spiritual, personal, and mental transitions. G.R.A.C.E.D will encourage members to make Jesus the center of their daily lives in every aspect. In fusing these elements together, they will know how to let their light shine, the gap will be bridged and righteous believing will be produced. (Ezekiel 37:4-6, Joshua 1:8, Psalms 16:11, Romans 12:2)

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
MISSION
To honor the memory of Bishop John H. Graves by managing and awarding scholarships based on academics and hardships to members of the Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church of God, Inc.

In honor of Bishop John H. Graves, the Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church of God, Inc. is pleased to award a scholarship in the memory of a great leader, a faithful servant of God and a servant to the people. Bishop Graves was dedicated to God, his family and the congregation that he so dearly loved. He was a breath of fresh air when he entered a room. Throughout his life as the pastor and Bishop, he reminded us that “in order to be a good leader, one must stay before God and allow him to direct his steps.” Bishop Graves encouraged his congregation to reach their potential, stay steadfast to their dreams and obtain an education.

Bishop Graves retired as pastor in 1998, but continued to serve in the role of Bishop until his death in 2002. Under his leadership, he established youth, senior citizens and community outreach programs. He touched many lives and his goal was to initiate fellowship with all whom he encountered.

Bishop Graves started his day by uttering the words, “…Lord, help me to be a blessing to someone else.”
